I am an avid curling fan. I volunteered for the 2017 Brier here in St. John’s, NL. It was one of the highlights of my life. Seeing all the curlers in person and watching the games in person, when not busy with my volunteering. I still have my uniform, that I
wore for my volunteering duties. It was so nice to see a packed house for every game. I remember Mike McEwen saying he had never seen such a packed house every game. NL’ers love their curling.
The excitement at the Mary Brown Center at the games was so exciting and Brad’s last shot had everyone on the edge of their seats. It was like time stood still while everyone watched Brett and Mark sweep that rock in for the win!! I think all of NL cheered so loudly. I know I did!!
Hopefully next year will be just as exciting.
