My 7 year old son, Jared, has loved curling for years. We often watch curling together. His 4th birthday party was curling themed, complete with Pin the Rock on the Button and a curling rock cake. He got to attend the 2019 Men’s World Curling Championships when Lethbridge hosted. He was so excited he even got on the Jumbotron with his Canada shirt and flag! But the best memory happened earlier this year. My curling-loving boy got to start curling in a junior league and begin playing the sport he loves. Tuesdays are his favourite days, because they are curling days. He has a long way to go in learning the skills (it’s hard to throw the rock when it weighs are much as you!), but he makes up for it with enthusiasm and heart.
