A dream come true - Curling Day In Canada

I grew up watching all the curling events that would be shown on TV, as my family all curled but me.

Then, around 18 years of age I got bit by the curling bug and have loved the game ever since.

For many years, I had said that I would love to go to a Tim Hortons Brier and it was definitely on my bucket list.

I had attended and volunteered at a Scotties Tournament of Hearts when it was hosted here in my hometown of Thunder Bay.

Well, low and behold, in February of 2014 my dream would come true. My husband and I decided to go to the Tim Hortons Brier which was going to be in Kamloops, BC in March. We were so excited to fulfill the dream, especially since our cousin, Jeff Currie, had qualified and was going to be playing in it. It sure made for an extra special event being related to an actual participant.
We were just beaming with pride and had a wonderful time. The event was well run and everyone was so friendly, including the participants, the citizens of Kamloops, and all the curling fans.

Would certainly love to go to another Tim Hortons Brier!
