Celebrate Curling Day in Banff

February 25, 2023 is a day of national celebration for the sport of curling; but the biggest celebration of all is happening in Banff, Alberta – home to the first-ever Curling Day in Canada Festival. Discover more details below.


12pm – 6pm: Get your photo taken with the famous Brier Tankard.


12pm – 6pm: Meet curling celebrities the likes of John Morris and Ben Hebert. Follow the Facebook Event for updates on where to find them throughout the day.


Challenge your friends and family to a round of Crokicurl – a blend of two iconic Canadian activities that is being played outdoors at its newest location – Banff High School.

Public Hours:  Feb 24, 1pm – 3pm  •  Feb 25, 11am – 6pm


12pm – 6pm: Who needs ice when you can curl anywhere with Rock Solid Production’s synthetic curling rinks and equipment? Watch as various competitions unfold throughout the day; and hop on an open sheet to test your own skills.

Open to Public:  12pm – 3pm & 4pm – 5pm
Banff vs Canmore Elementary School Challenge:  3pm – 4pm
Olympians vs Public:  5pm – 6pm (during TSN Special Live Broadcast)


12pm – 3:30pm: It’s not a festival without live music, and we’ve got Banff’s most rockin’ local talent on stage keeping it warm in the lead up to TSN’s Curling Day in Canada live broadcast at 5pm.


12pm – 4:30pm: Curling is now on the Nintendo Switch™ and we’re playing on the BIG screen. Just aim for the target, adjust your strength, and shoot!


5pm – 6pm: Don’t miss your opportunity to be seen on television as TSN broadcasts their Curling Day in Canada special, live from Bear Street. Let’s fill the downtown to prove just why Banff is the greatest curling community in Canada.
