Breaking A Tie With A 7 Ender!

February 10, 2023

We lived in Northern Alberta in Rainbow Lake in the early ’70’s. My husband made the natural ice in our 2 sheet curling rink but we had to travel some distance to play in bonspiels. We traveled to Hay River, NWT to their Mixed Bonspiel one weekend. In the final game of the ‘spiel we were tied 7-7 after 8 ends & we had the last rock in the extra end & won 14-7!! Wish we had cell phone cameras back then! We added to our trophy count so had a fun trip home which didn’t seem nearly as long as the trip up there!
