For my husband Bill 60th birthday I surprised him with a trip to the briar in Newfoundland. Now my husband has serious Crohn’s disease and he was nervous about travelling in March being winter in Newfoundland. But the trouper he was we went only to have had the best experience of his sporting life lol He experienced true Newfoundland pride. Not to mention 150 mph gale force winds. But that final shot of Brad Gushe’s was unbelievably nerve racking. The crowd erupted and the noise was electric. Honestly he still talks about it. It was a struggle for him physically but he says it was so worth it.
