Every year, residents of our cottage association in Grindstone Provincial Park get together and make two curling rinks on the Beaver Pond for the cottagers to get together and have a couple of curling bonspiels using the coffee can rocks.

They paint rings on the ice for that professional look.

Everyone (young and old) shows up in their best winter wear and we go out and have a ton of fun.

We have a fire to keep warm, lots of warm beverages to keep us toasty, lots of laughs, and the best part is being with people who just want to go out and have some fun. They also go and make a skating rink around the pond for the kids to skate.

This is the best part of the winter by far. They amount of time that these great people put into making this for everyone is truly amazing.
