Curing has touched our family in a profound way. I have a 28 year old son, Justin, who has autism. Up to the age of 4 he had very little words in his vocabulary. During the finals of the 1999 Scotties Tournament of Hearts between Connie Laliaberte and Colleen Jones he heard them yell commands on TV. All of a sudden we heard him yell back. My wife and I looked at each other not believing what we heard until he did it again. His first word was “hurry “. Since then he hasn’t stopped talking and he’s been curling with Special Olympics for over 20 years.
