I was curling against my mother-in-law in a bonspeil in Clearwater, Manitoba. She had her sister on her team, as did I. We were 4 down coming home with hammer. The end was shaping up pretty good for us and we were sitting 5 when my mother-in-law went to throw her last rock. Her sister burnt her stone so we win. But I had a wide open hit for an 8 ender …. I didn’t throw it. A spectacular asked me if I knew I could have gotten 8? I said yes but I like it when my Mother-in-law babysits for me.
