We were 4 high school boys curling against an elderly rink at Rorketon, Manitoba, and we were losing 10-4 in the eighth end late at night and the opposition asked if we want to give up. We said “NO”, and scored 4 points in the ninth end and 3 points in the tenth end and won the game. This game was to go into the prizes. We not only won this game but went all the way to win 1 st prize in the 1 st event. Had we given up we would have gotten nothing. Lesson in curling- Never give up. Ice is very slippery.
