My team and myself were curling at the old Hub City Curling club in the club playdowns to be selected to enter city playoffs Saskatoon. We were playing the 8th end against Harold Worth.He played with JimmyHill which lost the Canadian Briar final game on Last rock in Saskatoon many years ago. During our local match in the 8th end, i advised my third Denny Holben that we will lay a guard on my shot rock. My third kept insisting to just draw the house. Finally my light bulb came on and i realized that my rock was the last one to be thrown in this endl. I was so engrossed in the events that i lost the thought process. We managed to defeat Harold but they considered it quite amusing that i wished to play that guard stone with last rock. I would like to add that I won the Canadian Senior mens curling title in 1985 with Dr. Joe Golumbia,Wally Udepski, Alex Wasslen, in Yorkton,Sask. Frank Scheirich 1985 Senior mens curling Champion.
