It was March 26, 2009, I was playing in the Senior Men’s Nationals, held in Summerside at the Silver Fox Curling Club. With the organizers and CCA approval, I proposed to my future wife, Josee, on the ice, before our game against Newfoundland. Josee said yes, we went on to beat Newfoundland in that game.
To top it all off, we (Team Delaney…Bruce, Rick, Dunc and myself) went on to beat Russ Howard’s New Brunswick team for the National Championship.
