Being at the St. John’s Brier was certainly a highlight in itself! A finish like non other! But there were so many stories during that Brier. There was a terrible wind storm that weekend. We were at the arena watching an afternoon game. The noise inside from the wind was so loud. There was a live band playing during breaks. I remember them singing Sweet Caroline, when all of a sudden the power went out. But in pure Newfoundland style everyone in the stadium at the time started singing. Sweet Caroline never sounded so good. It was soooo very nice.
