For four small town girls that grew up on the curling ice, it was a once in a lifetime accomplishment. In March of 2022 we took part in a local 48 team bonspiel in Alameda, Saskatchewan. It was during our Friday night draw, in the second end, when it came down to our last rock we all thought to ourselves “There is no way!.” A take out of the opposing teams rock from the 8 foot left us sitting 8. We stood there in anticipation watching the other team throw the last rock, we could hear the cheers and the palms on glass from the crowd above as the rock slid through the rings. It was a steal of 8! and a curling story we will tell for years to come!
